Read a released result narrowly. It can mean the person is no longer in the reporting jail or state custody feed. It does not prove that the criminal case is over, that probation or parole has ended, or that no other agency is involved. Eagle County's own jail viewer sends users to Eagle County Combined Court for final case dispositions, which is the correct place for dismissal, plea, sentence, probation, bond-order, mittimus, and sentence-completion questions.

The PIN step matters. VINE phone alerts often require the recipient to confirm a call or manage the registration later. If contact information changes, update the registration before the expected release or transfer. The absence of a VINE result does not prove the person is still in custody.

Eagle County's distinctive local layer is the sheriff-site link to VINELink under Victim Services. The county does not appear to operate a separate local VINE page with its own alert database. A VINELink notification can alert that custody changed, but it does not state whether the case ended by dismissal, plea, sentence, deferred judgment, probation, or another order.
